Whenever I receive a suspicious link I Google it first.
If it's shortened link, generally link shortener also have link de-shortener.
So, yeah.
I never particularly fell for one of those.

The sleep thing is just a simple shell command that doesn't require sudo: suspend

Pacha probably just typed that onto a .sh file and sent it. Always examine a .sh file's commands before running it, unless it's from a trustable program.
