Author Topic: Rate the above user's computer specifications  (Read 2527 times)

This should help condense the many topics about this that have been popping up lately.

I recommend using Speccy by Piriform to get your specifications. But you can also press winkey+r and type 'dxdiag' into the run dialog to get some of your basic specifications.

I'll begin here; don't be afraid to post yours as text. Pages full of images tend to be bad anyways.

Seems fairly good for a laptop of that price.

Took a prebuilt desktop computer from 2007 and spent $471 on various upgrades.

Operating System:
     Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1

CPU:
     AMD FX-8120, 8 core, OC'd from 3 GHz to 3.5 GHz

RAM:
     8,00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 669 MHz (9-9-9-24)

Motherboard:
ASUSTeK Computer INC. M5A78L-M LX (AM3R2)

Graphics:
     ASUS VW247 (1920x1080@60Hz)
     MD30999PD (1440x900@60Hz)
2048MB ATI AMD Radeon HD 7870 (XFX Pine Group)

Hard Drives:
596GB TOSHIBA MK6465GSX ATA Device (SATA)
     - This is the main bottleneck right now, it's a tiny HDD taken out of a dying laptop. I'll be buying a 128gb SSD and a 1tb HDD in a few days anyway.

Audio:
     Realtek High Definition Audio

I refuse to install any program that tells me what my hardware is because I already know.
Above looks as if you replaced literally everything, not upgrade it. Very nice nonetheless.

AMD FX-6100 4.1GHz, stable temperature at 47°C, never breaching 56°C.
2x2GB Corsair VS2GB1333D3 Dual Channel @ 1333MHz (9-9-9-24)
MSI 970A-G43, stable temperature at 33°C.
Acer V173 (1280x1024@75Hz)
AMD Radeon HD 6770 1GB (DIAMOND)
160GB Western Digital Caviar WD1600JD-00HBB0 (SATA 1.5Gbps,) stable temperature at 29°C.
Samsung SH-B123L 12x Blu-ray Combo

I got it for free, but it's the next thing to replace.
The drive was manufactured in 2007. It's getting me by.

The secondary drive is 5200rpm
my main one is 7200rpm
I'm using a coolermaster 212 evo cooler
I'll upgrade my GPU when I quit being lazy
