Author Topic: Minigame: Betting on chat. (WordBet)  (Read 3716 times)

For whatever reason I had the idea for a little script that let's you bet on how often a word will be said in chat.
You just buy a certain word for credits, and each time that word's said (with a few exceptions) you'll get credits for it.
The ingame help pretty explains everything.
I hope to add more features to this as I think of them.

I was hoping this would be betting on which team was going to win.
I was wrong.

This seems a little useless. Someone could just bet on the word "NO", "YES" or "love" and watch the cash come rolling in.
Makes no sense.

does it find words like the e-tard script does?

because all you have to do is bet on e and you'll have cash rolling in

There's an RTB pref for minimum character count of a bet upon word.
The default is four characters.
Also, only one person can bet on a word at a time. Basically you 'own' that word.
edit: no you cant bet on part of a word

And yeah, it's useless, just some strange side (mini) game I thought up. It shouldn't interfere or change any other part of the server, which is good, cause it can be put in any server type.

lol this is hilarious

If there's any servers running this, I'd love to see them.
I've only tested this with me and one other person so far.

...a certain word for credits, and each...
...credits for it....
...e and you'll have cash rolling in...

can someone please explain to me what "Credits" and "cash" are referring to? is it points or RP money? or just fake useless "credits"?

Actually I forgot to put the command up there that enables direct deposit.
It's actually real money that goes directly into the account used to purchase your blockland key.

hah, it doesn't work like that you can pretty much register any prefix you want, the only differences between them is cost, my guesses is that .org was cheapest

I'd bet on the words "a, of, in, to, lol, rofl" and watch the cash pour in.
