9/10 missiles aimed at Abduallhi are destroyed. 1 hits dead center of the capital.

Men with hazmat suits on are seen boarding helicopters immediately to fetch the warheads that land in the ocean and to clean them up.

Once the doors are finally opened, all the men that had done this terrible thing had killed themselves. We have yet to identify their affiliation. All launch control centers are put on lockdown for the time being.

No, but this is technology that received a good amount of dosh for decades.  SMs mean Smart Missiles.  I can explain more if you want, but I believe that I told blazer about all of the tech packed into them.

Erinaum will be testing a prototype RLU meant to clean up hazardous waste in the areas to clear the agent outside of Nimun.

Much of the population in the area of Nimün is relocated to shelters in the city center.  The farming town is cleared out immediately.

Erinaum issues a public bill, for those to respond both inside and outside of the P.E.M.U.:

Erinaum scans itself with Medusa, and Military Police instantly storm the locations when revealed.  Drones take off and begin to take out confirmed terrorists.  Erinaum also sends Belsnian officials some video footage captured from a satellite showing that soon after the incident, a few men behind security lines were jumping onto a freight train headed toward the AC.  The satellite was able to capture some images of their faces in high definition.  When Erinamese security found this out, we activated 4 more satellites.  Using this data, we were able to gather approximate 3D graphs of their faces.  They don't match up with anyone in Erinaum's record.  The files (included with the video file) are attached.  Do they match anyone in your record?


Having received permission from the Abdullahian Government, Medusa seizes control of all airwaves in Abdullahi, except for emergency lines.  Medusa scans Abdullahi and pinpoints 839,531 locations in Abdullahi that have sent out anti-government messages in the last 10 years.  97,689 of these contain contain language that is targeted at the global theater.  These are all traced, and irrelevant noise is ignored, and a lot of data points to 7 locations in Abdullahi, where messages were received and sent for a long amount of time.  The messages were more frequent during the Iron Shadow attacks and the Belsnian Missile CrCIA.  Erinaum sends these results in to Abdullahi's Government in a briefcase, personally carried by a head Vålderesk security official.  He is escorted in a private plane by several drones.  The control of airwaves is given back to Abdullahi.

After some digging and the capture of several people entering the AC by train from Erinaum, the AC forms a theory:
The terrorists are a group of radical Zoroastrians upset that Erinaum shot down the free religion bill.  They acquired the help of several disgruntled members of the Erinamese government, a few of whom had connections with higher ups.  These higher ups bribed a pro-TP radical organization to fly the planes into the towers, and then seduced some Belsnian troops by radio with talk of total TP supremacy into jacking the silos and attempting to level Erinaum and Abdullahi.

This theory has been pieced together mainly by the testimony of one Mark Changsmith, a member of the Erinamese government caught crossing into the AC illegally.

Medusa would be incapable of re-jacking the silos.  The computer defense upgrade that the Pact put into effect when Erinaum left the Pact was specifically designed to keep out Medusa-like digital entities, a project aided by the best computing minds in the Pact, including a software engineer formerly involved in Medusa with family in Belsnia.

Also, you really don't know how Medusa works, so I doubt you would be able to block it.  Medusa is and always was Erinamese technology, and sorry to break it to you- this is something that we don't share.  We don't even let any new scientists onto the development team unless they've been brainwashed and tortured into not telling anyone- a steep price to pay, but worth it to keep Medusa secret.  Is this saying that I could instantly take over your network?  Not at all.  In fact, it would take quite some time due to the level of security that you put up.

Well it's not like "Alright, gonna get the stick to whack you with now."  No, if they are proved loyal, then we have no need of torturing them.  These individuals are also watched constantly by several monitors.  They are essentially taught not to tell, and are not given the opportunity to tell.  Brainwashing doesn't make you want to tell someone else, that's just not how it works. 

Furthermore, they are given these terms on paper; they consent to anything that we may subject them to.  If they are loyal, they do not need any torturing, and work on Medusa can begin shortly.

Medusa works like HIV, and aptly named Medusa because it (figuratively) turns to stone anything that stares it in the face.  Now, is it that everything lives up to its name?  No, there are ways to defeat the mythological Medusa, and there are ways to defeat the computer Medusa.  You could either gather intelligence and defeat it electronically, or somehow infiltrate Medusa's lab and pushing an engineer, causing him to spill his coffee on it.  But I urge you to do neither.  Other than the patent lock issue (one of my few last resorts), I am providing Medusa as a security service.  (See MVT:  D 9923)

But now that you and mlockha have mentioned it, and now that the AI is vastly improved, units can be made to do programming (much like mining for bitcoins) and Erinaum will look into replacing staff with AI programmers.  The scientists and their families will be rewarded with pensions.


The Viertan Government gives Erinaum permission to use Medusa to search for threats.  Vierte's non-emergency airwaves are seized temporarily.  Medusa located 99,033 locations that sent anti-government messages in the last 10 years.  19,728 were targeted at the international level.  Noise is filtered out and the number is narrowed down to 2,359 active correspondants.  These are traced to their sources, and 4 locations were found.  The results are being delivered by the same means that Erinaum delivered  the results to Abdullahi.  The airwaves are returned to Vierte.
