Too true.
The AC proposes that the TP and PEMU end their mutual official trade embargoes and instead let mutual trust issues and individual nations decide on trade status. We've entered a detente, may as well try to keep things on that track.
TP engineers have created a prototype firewall system known as Scimitar. It utilizes a variety of new algorithms to protect data and system functions. One noteworthy feature is its ability to redirect any probing software to its origin, so an unauthorized search may be sent back to the computer of origin. Originally built around the threat of Medusa, it can reactivate virtual objects, send queries into infinite loops, self cleanse its programming, and even 'attack' threats to the system. The Mark I version includes a rudimentary AI that can communicate with users at a central console at an undisclosed location. The TP will not be switching over to Scimitar immediately, but will be incorporating it into the TP's virtual defenses over a period of a few years.
After several former Iron Shadow operatives stepped forward, the AC discovers yet another partially sabotaged fleet of comparable size containing a good sized aircraft carrier and several smaller vessels. Sources indicate that when the Iron Shadow fell, a splinter cell formed, sabotaged many ships, took off with the rest, and headed off into Slevokxian waters where it was the plan to regroup and strike again once sufficient force was accumulated. Recent satellite imaging shows no concentration of naval vessels of unknown nationality in Slevokxia, and it is assumed that the fleet continued on its way or was lost in a typhoon or something. The AC will be keeping its eyes open.
