Author Topic: Nations at War - Closing Time!  (Read 241391 times)

No I didn't say that, but it likens unto an awkward transition of conversation.  "Small group this small group that" oh btw huge revolution.

Miko might understand from a musical perspective that it's like abrupt and awkward modulation.
Alright. I was just trying to deviate from the "West Erinaum is only thing that matters" conversation. Anyways.

IIM Officials bust into a house, after hearing reports of owners not appearing out of their house for several days.  Immediatley, a foul stench fills the air. They check the basement, finding a gruesome site. Women on torture devices, men castrated, a boiling pot filled with bones. Not chicken bones either. Men pressed to death under stones, women with their genitals cut off, decapitations, sickening things. Acid, glass in mouths, rape, amputations, horrible things. As the men get to the end of the hallway, a sign is seen. It says 1 simple word. "Bonjour." Right after reading the signs, huge stones come down from the roof, crushing the men. Meanwhile, 2 bombs go off on the side, killing any not hit by stones, and covering those not dead in their team's blood and guts. 3 more teams are sent in, until all booby traps are done and no more men are killed. 78 bodies are recovered from the house. 35 tortured civillans. 43 dead police members/SWAT.

Who did this, there is but one clue. We all know who did this. The french language, it happening to a recent revolutionary government, it must be it's parent government. Why did they go to this length though? Newspapers around the world get the story, though the Atsinian government denies it. Obviously someone trying to frame them. A Flash Mober.

Oh god nothing like the eccentric Flash Mober.  I want to write a mystery novel about something this.

IIM claims it is Atsina. Atsina claims it is Flash Mober. Thank you for choosing Atsina side. Have nice day. Au revoir. Salut.

It's all possible that it could be both, but I'm not gonna do some Swat 3-type instigations that break the fourth wall.

Thank you for respecting Atsinan land claim's privacy.

/Why not help IIM? We know it is Atsina! Help us prove it with investigations./

I shall now rp as IIM and Atsina. Atsina is normal text, IIM is slashes.

East Erinaum states that it will be neutral on the matter.

/You are puta. *Spit*/

Thank you for respecting privacy of our land claim. We will make sure once we take it back, no more Flash Mobs will happen.

I keep going to more and more drastic measures because everything that I say works you just ignore.  This issue should have been resolved pages ago, as I already said the riots stopped.  So if the people are rioting in E Erinaum, that is fine.  Things are now officially good in UOU.  If you want to do something about it, use your own people.

As the issue resolves, UoU mashes a campaign for the improvement of life in N UoU.  Extra finds are put into each booty which are directed at improving utilities, facilities, and citizen happiness.  UoU also sends gifts of one of our secret projects to those nations who have supported us in these challenging times.  We happily announce that they are over, and we can get to being the friendly and helpful nation that is always willing to lend a hand for those who do the same.

Except that you can't wave problems away with a magic wand.  It's not like your problems are over.  The point of a nation RP is to roleplay processes with time, not dictate reality with complete certainty-  things never work that way.  If this were realistic, the UOU would be divided deeply on this issue, and could have the potential to erupt into civil war upon the very ideology that Utah is structured, leaving West Erinaum as a side concern.

And if you thought you deported all the protesters, then I just laugh.

Realistically, East Erinaum would be rioting (and I do not deny that it is) to enact PEMU Article I Clause 9.

That is the thing, we have resolved this with time.  Just because you choose to ignore all that has been done to stop the issue, sites but man that it did not transpire.

And by your logic, E Erinaum would be on the brink of civil war just as we are, as half of those people are in support of UoU control of the land and they think the rebels are just selfish pigs.

No.  You can't patch up all the problems.
Total perfection in this is impossible, but such actions can be commanded to a large extent.
Do some roleplaying.

No, by my logic, they'd be crying for East Erinaum to go to war over this.  My logic is the undeniable objective pathos.  What about the Utahn deportations/persecution based on ideology would make East Erinamese think, "Hey, I could get behind that.  Descriminating against my friends and family across the sea is only fair.  Why the hell should they be allowed to have the land that they owned for around a century?  They should just think what the government wants them to think and force themselves to be happy."  Do you really believe that?  Who in their right mind would say that?  Saying what you just said only tells me that you don't understand people, and rulers that don't understand people are historically those that are the most hated, and those considered unfit for rule.

The only way E Erinaum gets that land is if they take it from us.  We've been more than helpful in returning E Erinaum to you, and offering financial assistance for relocation of W Erinamese citizens.  If you do not accept our help, it will not be offered in the future.

The problem no longer lies with UoU, as anyone unhappy with living here is no longer a part of our nation.  If your citizens demand war, just know that you will be the one to strike the first blow.  UOU is perfectly content with how things are now, don't be the one to break the peace.

The broken peace was sparked by Utahn inaction.  East Erinaum could legally invade and take West Erinaum by force, by PEMU standards to which you agreed upon joining.  The only thing holding the peace is the Executive Branch holding back legislation which sits pigeonholing on the Ivek's desk.

Okay, so realistically half or more your population would walk out and go elsewhere.  You still wanna stand by that law?

Look, we don't want to overturn Utah.  I don't want it to come to that, but we want West Erinaum and West Erinaum only.  It's a thorn in your side, and it very well may be a thorn in ours if you give it back, but it will remain unruly because you never really resolved issues, and so far had never done anything that would lead to resolution.  We're willing to meet the civilians' demands if you won't.

You're ridiculous if you think a nation so young and small could take on a nation so old and developed like UOU.  And even if we falter, we have friends, something we pride ourselves on.  If it is a war you want, it is a war you will lose.  UoU's defenses can take on whatever you bring.  We fight not because we want war.  We fight for peace!

We will never give up land that has been developed by Utahns for generations.  It is not a thorn in our side at all.  We removed the fifth of our population which supported anarchy, an now a return to normalcy is already happening.  Don't be the one to break the peace.

Good.  Keep thinking that.
