Don't understand why anyone would eat it anything but rare, surely it's tough as forget and tasteless?

Depends how you cook it.
The first few times I cooked steak, I messed up the timing. Aimed for medium (How I like it), got well done, but it was still more flavorful and tender then the medium steaks my parents make

I usually ask for medium rare so I get medium

most people think medium means "all brown" but clearly it means some pink
