i watched pacific rim today, and overall the movie was pretty awesome. giant robots beating the stuff out of giant aliens is pretty damn cool to watch. the fact they had ron pearlmen and that guy from always sunny in it too was pretty hilarious. that part of the story was pretty entertaining. visually it was cool, ripping out aliens tongues and cutting them up and all that. the use of the voice from portal was cool too.
but my main, and pretty much only beef, was with the asian chick that charlie hunnam is linked with. first off, she's ugly. obv this isnt like super important if its a good actor, but with a part like hers, where she is just some chick that the main character is supposed to fall in love with, looks is pretty much like a majority of her part. she didnt really HAVE a whole lot of dialouge or character development, she was just there. and she was ugly. next up, her acting pissed me off to no end. the movie kept a constant vibe throughout, but when she came on the loving screen, its like we switched to some crappy ching chang asia movie that they produce every two days. for example, when shes judging the pilot candidates, and then charlie hunnam is like "send her down".
her loving asia little eyes when she looked at the admiral was so loving annoying. it didnt fit, it was just stupid, she overacted every single loving part of that movie. when ever she said something or looked sad or some stuff, she always acted extra-sad or extra-helpless, like no this isnt loving japan act like an american actor you cunt. and when they are in space and the bitch uses the sword and is all "for my family" in asian? holy stuff are you kidding me? way over the top really loving stupid.
they seriously should of used scarlet johansen or anyone else holy stuff she sucked. just my opinion though, whatd you guys think of the movie?
