I would advise it unless you are going to sell it

all i did during the sale was beg for ftl which i don't even play very much, and gift someone fallout 3

seriously regret i didn't buy anything

I got the Arma II: Combined Operations at the last minute for like 8 dollars.

I bought like 35 bucks worth of stuff.

I thought it was worth it.

I bought several copies of games to give away in contests, I got some multiplayer split screen games for my Big Picture setup.
Was a decent sale.

won chivalry in a sort of competition thing and a friend gave me the binding of isaac
:I

I used $25 and got GTAV, Sleeping Dogs, and JC2. Open world for me

GTAV? It's not even on steam yet (wish it was)

I was going to buy a game or two that I've had my eye on but I didn't have any money :c

Shame, but I don't think you majorly missed out.

A lot of the games that were on any of the special sales were just repeated.
Things put on the Daily Sale ended up on Community Choice or Flash Sales, so there seemed to be nothing new on Sale at all.
Some games ended up on the same Sales multiple times.

The whole Cards gimmick was interesting, and I think I'll enjoy getting cards while playing games in the long-run (especially as selling a foil and some duplicates earnt me nearly £2), but it's not a good reason to go and buy a game.

I can't help but think that they really didn't try much this Summer, and they just basically showed you only the things they definitely wanted you to buy. Namely the more expensive titles they had.
Nothing was really unique or interesting, or some random gem pulled up out of the massive Library of games that Steam houses.

And some of the games they did show didn't drop in price to any great extent at all.
Some stayed at 30-40% off for the entire sale, or just reached 50% and went no further.

Personally, I would save your money and just see what the Steam Winter Sale brings up, or their Autumn/Thanksgiving one that they did last year.

For some reason the sale is still going here where I am and has like 2 hours left on it.
I bought CS:GO and DoD:S for the Gmod content lol
