I built my first real board two years ago, and for the first three months of me using it I tried to learn how to do street tricks with my best friend(who also got a board around the same time so we could learn together) but all I got were the basics, a crappy ollie and decent manuals(my friend learned nothing and quit before I did ;D), so I just stuck to modifying, repairing and maintaining my friends' boards for them and using my board for transportation

I have a total of 10 friends who cruise or longboard and only 1 of them can actually skateboard and do some tricks

as of this past week I got back into it and have been improving my manuals and ollies as well as making up random crap, and my overall ability on boards has increased a lot
