Author Topic: Questions to BL Furry Fandom  (Read 3341 times)

First of all, in order to be a "furry," do you need to be loveually aroused by the anthropomorphic images of animals? For example, I like tigers and I think humanized drawings of tigers are pretty cool, but I am in no way aroused by any of these images. I am usually disgusted by them if anything.

Second question goes to the furries who ARE loveually attracted to furry drawings. Are you attracted to only humanized animals or animals in general? Would you rather have love with a real person or a furry if it existed?

These are my questions and I am in no way against furry fandom because it is a matter of personal choice, I am only curious.

Im very picky when it comes to arousing imagery and also a fan of e621 although I guess this doesnt answer anything but its a well thought out first post right?

that run-on sentence...

It would've been better to ask these in the megathread, but the sooner the thread gets locked, the better.

1. No, the minimum requirement to being a furry is if you want to identify yourself as one, and if you like the idea of anthropomorphism, or any art that comes out of it. Simple.

2. This differs from person to person. Admittedly, humanized animals can be arousing, but I personally have a dislike towards animals in general, real or drawn. If it were between a real person and a real furry/anthro, I'd pick the person. However if I were also a furry, I would pick the furry.

Note that, again, #2 differs widely from person to person, and the concept of "furry" doesn't at all revolve around one definite, central belief, just like any other fandom.

that'll certainly happen if you don't take care of and/or mistreat your animals
Pretty much this.
just look at how crazy gross and/or vicious this is

absolutely disgusting. I can't stand it

Pretty much this.
Animals, or at least pets, aren't really that bad. I mean, if they were really that bad, there wouldn't be pets.

Also Night Fox makes a good point.

I'm sorry, I didn't realize I wasn't allowed to have an opinion.

"vicious" is objective
whether or not something is vicious is not an opinion
you can not just claim that something is vicious and say "ohhh I didn't know opinions were against the law!!"
because "vicious" is objective

"crazy gross" on the other hand could be subjective, but I can't imagine what sort of person would consider that "crazy gross"

It's mostly personal experience. I just get really nervous when I'm around someone's dog or cat (or anything that isn't in a bowl/cage I guess). I can recall there being a specific reason for it but I forget.

if that's why you don't like them, fine. but there's no reason to call them things they aren't
