Of course, you can just turn the filters off, but it's still hilarious that they're actually trying.
Silly Britcigarettes, I can't hear you over my FREEDOM.

""Let me be clear to any offender who might think otherwise: there is no such thing as a safe place on the internet to access child abuse material," he will say."

Hah.
People who don't understand just how deep the depths of the internet go should not be allowed to pass legislation on it

lol are you loving kidding me

I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Just wait until this current generation grows up (The ones who know more about the facets of the internet's workings) and gets lead positions in political positions such as this guy has.

In short, don't worry about it. It won't be effecting you any time soon, and it's very difficult to control our current form of internet.

Why are governments in such a rush to ban everything?

They will never find it all.

Also if any kid is looking for research, they are going to see research, having to untick some filter box is not going to stop anything.
Not to mention, why stop it anyway?

I mean really, what are they going to do? Automatically block searches for "HOT UNDERAGE SUCK BIG rooster WHILE BEING PISSED ON HD 1080p"? I really can't figure out what measures they are hoping to take to block people from accessing such material

I really don't see the point in this

Quote
Claire Lilley, NSPCC: "In every single child abuse image there is a victim, a child who has been abused"

what else would there be

what else would there be

A rapist who has been abused. The child is the real rapist

This guy is trying to do the impossible, and he's not tech-savvy enough to realize that it's impossible.

I don't see a problem with this.

If you wish to have that sort of imagery then you need to have the filter changed.
I can't quite tell if that would be something you could do personally, or if you need to contact your ISP to do it though.

The only real problems I can see happening is certain websites may be blocked which some could recognise as researchographic, despite not being so.
There are websites dedicated to Art that depict the naked form, in such things as paintings and statuary.

It does leave the question of what point the Government deems something as researchographic or not though.
For example, "LotsOfTits" dot com is probably researchographic (or a keen avian fan site).
Nuts Magazines website however features the same sort of images that are in Nuts Magazine, which are naked or scantily clad women, but often doesn't show nipples, or at the most part, definitely doesn't show genitals.

Seeing as how those sorts of Magazines are allowed in magazine racks in Supermarkets and Newsagents, with 90% naked girls on the cover, where Children could easily spot the image, it wouldn't be fair if the websites for companies like those require people to have to manually change whether they can access them.
Not everyone is tech savvy and might not understand how to go about gaining access to those websites, and that would result in a loss of money to those companies.
Which ultimately means a loss of Tax for the government.

But other than that though, there's nothing wrong with them putting more measures (even if they're very basic) to stopping people watching research.
And there is nothing wrong with them putting in measures to try and crack down on Child research and it's viewers, as well as stopping Rape Material being readily accessed online.

What the hell, they just now try to block researcho? Wow...

lol but britns stl th bst contrie. ,,,. ,., .
