@OP, add the latest wine repository.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa

Then install the latest wine version.

sudo apt-get install wine1.6

Then just run the BL installer, and you should be good.

I am fairly sure Mint 13 includes the Wine repository by default (it also advertises this during installation) but this may help you with other linux distributions that don't include it by default.

It is, but last I checked, it's outdated. Same for pretty much every other distro.
