I don't even TL;DR: US congress is voting on an amendment. (Link above) That bill (if passed) would block funding for the NSA phone record metadata collection operation. It would either stop or at least hinder NSA recording your phone call metadata. It would in the people's interest to pass this bill if you like to keep your phone calls (metadata) private.

You know the CIA is suppose to spy on people outside of the US as well as other countries. All the do is gather information through communications.

There are very few so called terrorists. In order to be a terrorist you have to have a Political Goal, an there has be a use of force. Prevention is better than the cure. If you let the NSA continue to spy on us without a warrant then this will just create more so called terrorist who hate the US for spying on them as well as create more anti government militias. Right now  the only militias are crazy Christians who think Obama is the anti Christ. What they are doing is unconstitutional and a violation of the 4th amendment. Our government has to follow the rules just like we do. Like Obama said, there are no short cuts to protecting this country. If you want to live in a secure country go live in Great Britain, China, Iran, or any of the dictatorships that monitor their citizens 24/7.

By "Having it easier" do you mean that they only have to prepare for every building in the US having security drills every week, very well detailed emergency instructions and defenses along with security cameras and police swarming everywhere? They're only recording our metadata, aren't they? Doesn't that mean they don't know what was ACTUALLY IN the calls, it's just that if a criminal case comes along then they can check what numbers we talked to recently and when?
