Author Topic: How to place down static shape bricks?  (Read 982 times)

Sorry, but just a quick question, how do I place down static shape bricks? I've seen people making things like small maps with static shapes so I got mission editor but I don't know how to place down the static shape bricks.

If anybody can answer this please, thanks.

I'm working on a system to enabled admins to plant static shapes like bricks.

Im also working on something similar, evented 'holograms' which can be moved around freely, coloured, rotated, etc. Heres a link to the modification discussion topic, where you can find a download link for the beta tester version.

Edit: Without an add-on specifically designed to do so, you cant (i think).

This sounds like a huge step backwards.  Any kind of add-on making bricks out of static shapes will be put in the Fail Bin.

question is though.
why?

Oh I never planned on releasing it.

Because I'm bored and have nothing better to make.

here's something better: literally anything else

I think what he meant is placing static shapes down in the way that you can place bricks down. Not making bricks out of static shapes.

what if you want to have like moving platforms or bricks that rotate, obviously you wouldn't want a lot but a few would be good for moving stuff

um

what happened to this topic

that's exactly what he was talking about. the two things you said are basically identical.

tip: there's a reason we don't use staticshapes for bricks anymore
