Author Topic: Why does everyone hate IE?  (Read 1447 times)

I like using Nightly because I get Firefox updates faster than everyone else, and I like the look of it a lot better.

lol that has firefox 3.6 and chrome 5 on it.  That's old as hell.  Chrome's at 28, firefox is at 22
This lol

While whatever makes you happy is all that really matters, the Nightly build of Firefox is considered the unstable version and isn't intended to be used by people for surfing the web. It exists for web developers to make sure their websites are in line with coming updates and to allow people to test new features for implementation when that feature actually launches. You may support features faster than others, but more than likely no sites have implemented those features anyway. IMO there's no point in running the unstable version of a browser for general use, but if you don't mind the instability and possible incompatibility with sites or the skin makes it worth it, more power to you. Just don't submit any bug reports on any websites.

(In fact, I think it looks better than other browsers)

im guessing you are an apple product lover. they have this same standards about modern technology.

chrome is good, right?

read what I posted.

i know but that table could entirely be someone's opinion

Apple? Ew no.
I was just saying how I think it looks better.

Is that chrome at the top the open source version?
Chromium

read what I posted.
I strongly disagree with what you posted about Chrome. Chrome owns almost 50% of the Market Share of browsers, is open source, and updates fairly frequently. Any serious exploits that would make it worthy of being placed on a "Botnet Tier" would be patched within a matter of hours of being discovered. Not to mention, zero-days are extremely difficult to find in browsers anymore. Putting a browser that's used by almost 50% of the internet on a tier that implies that is unsafe to use is ludicrous.

Also, to discredit the poster further, it claims that Opera has less than 0.01% of the market share, and that Safari is for people that are too dumb to replace it. In reality, Opera has more users than Safari at 5.45%. The poster is opinion.
