competitive smash bros

the characters aren't balanced enough to use for entirely-skill-based play so items must be brought in to level the field and- beyond that- introduce a level of chaos to keep things fresh

but simultaneously items also are random, so you can't use them in tourneys either

The next game apparently has no tripping and will have balanced characters. Also since the Wii U will be more online they might be able to nerf them through updates.

competitive smash bros
i won't complain about this in like EVO 2013 where they're donating the money earned for cancer research but honestly i forget if super smash was one of the first games to even introduce tiers to videogames

Also "Walking dead games"

The one made by TT is masterpiece-tier stuff.

The Last of Us
Any Walking Dead game
Call of Duty Series
i am glad that i am not alone in this

also league of legends and dota 2

dota 2 is ok but i don't really like to get into it

TF2, it was better before hats and weird weapons. The game was simple and it was about two companies that wanted to destroy each others assets. Now the game has devolved into hat collecting and weird items that made the game loose it's shine. It was fun for it's early days, but now Valve is beating the dead horse.

Any game that has ingame content.

the walking dead games
I've never actually played them, but that's for a reason. I have watched people play them a bunch. while a good story can totally help a game, it doesn't make up for a lack of real gameplay
the last of us too
it's not nearly as bad, but the camera and movement feels really sluggish. it annoys me too much to play it for long

also, I don't hate them, but most valve games are incredibly overrated

do you mean DLC...? because I definitely hope that every game has content in the game
