monitor makes match lighting sound when opening a fullscreen game

so my main monitor has been doing this weird stuff recently where whenever i go into a fullscreen game my monitor flashes and makes a noise similar to someone striking a match for a split second.

any help with this or what the forget my monitor is doing?
