Author Topic: My Bricks that I made it.  (Read 7634 times)

Hey, hey starfish, why the forget does it matter.  He made light bulbs, he didn't write a thesis on the evolution of iguanas - grammar isn't necessary here, and you can fully understand everything he is saying.

Also, of course it's a basic lightbulb, what other detail could he add?

He said best pun, which was light blb.  There are no other light bulb bricks, you made the first.

Could you make a compact fluorescent lightbulb (the twisty kind)?

Off-Topic: Why do people always say this? Grammar is ALWAYS necessary, unless it's a joke, of course. Also, cool it on calling people starfishs; we understand how angry you get about the smallest situations.

On-Topic: It is a lightbulb, nothing more to it. It could have way more detail, but it's fine. Good job.

I don't see how it's always necessary, if the majority of people can comprehend it I don't see the problem.

OP is foreign. Cut him some slack for his English.
At least it's not at Wubbzy level.

Off-Topic: I get upset when people tell others to type proper grammar.  It is the writer's right to how they should spell, and if they have an excuse, such as being foreign in MKD's case, or deaf like Furling, then we really shouldn't poopoo them for not typing as well as you.  The only people that should be scolded, purely because of laziness, are the people that type, on the forums, in "text type"(2 instead of to, R instead of are, N instead of and), which is used only for quick, instant messaging, such as is texting, NOT in places like the forums where time can be spent ensuring no typos or lack of effort.

On-Topic: I still fail to see how he could have added more detail and still have retained the blocko appeal.  He could have added threading around the base of the bulb, but that would be too much detail; he could have put the wattage and volt limit on the end of the bulb, but that is unnecessary.  The only thing that would be nice is scripting it in a way where only the bulb would change colorFX, instead of the entire brick.

A bit too yellow. Are you able to recolor it?

it paintable on bullb only not gray base.

What if he is younger or he is from a different country which it's main language is not english? Not everyone on the Blockland Forums lives on the USA or UK and older than 16-18 to have a "perfect" grammar.

You don't need to be >15 to have half-decent grammar.

No, but it is atypical to hear a 12 year old use 'whom' instead of 'who' in the circumstance it is required.

I like the bulbs master, they could be useful for some things.
But why does his grammar matter so much to some people?

he's said he's also deaf i believe so give him a break

What really bugs me is the person that's correcting master king deaddude doesn't have decent grammar either.

I really hope that typo was intentional...

People still expect posts here to conform to a certain basic standard. This isn't one big facebook conversation.

That is not a typo, that is correct grammar.

Expect nothing.  This forum is a pretty good simulation of the real world.  We don't live in a world where everyone is white, has a perfect American East Coast accent, has never had an injury, has no disabilities or diseases, is of the same age, or thinks the same way.  We are in a culturally diverse, multi-personalitied world where you might not be able to understand something at a first glance, but after studying or listening to that something, the issue would then elucidate itself - do this enough, and you can understand anyone at first glance or holler.
