Author Topic: Taboo's (Whenever The forget I Feel Like It) Autobiographical Comics  (Read 8500 times)

as some people may be aware, i like to draw. as others may be aware, i also like to draw comics. and as even more (fewer?) others might know, i like to draw comics about the silly stuff around me. so here you go, it's a comic about the things that happen in my daily life with the general intention of making you laugh. i'll probably occasionally post one-off comics that are just original things that pop into my head, but we'll see.
i'll probably be updating this a little more often than daily since these are just pencil doodles in my general comicking notebook. this also means i'll probably occasionally miss a day or two since i can afford to.

wow, first comic not only makes no sense without prior context, i'm not even in it except for a speech bubble. off to a great start. this actually happened a few days ago but i figured it'd be a funny enough way to kick things off. to explain, the heaviest weights in my house are 70 pounds, and then just under those are 8 pound weights. the 8 pounders are for babies and the 70's are for super manly men that aren't me, so rather than dealing with one i instead went to a nearby train track and gathered a bunch of old railroad spikes that were laying about on an unused track. bundled together, i can make them range between 15 and 20 or so pounds, which is much more reasonable for me. Sham's confusion at the time was pretty hilarious (her first theory was "murder weapons"), and i figured it'd make a good enough comic to post.

it kind of ruins it if you tell the story after the comic
would have been better if you had just made the whole story a comic, good stuff tho

how do i comick an explanation though

show taboob failing at dumbells and going to a railroad track to get railroad stuff

hmmm
that sounds pretty doable
i can probably cover that in like two panels as well, so i guess i'll get on that shortly (gonna look kinda silly having two panels on a clearly separate sheet of paper, but oh well)

    Gettin' mad 'bout sandwiches

this is basically my breakfast today in a nutshell, but with a lot less Kevin Hart playing in the background. i'm pretty much the king of unhealthy daily meals, by the way, so don't suggest "eat cereal/oatmeal/poop like everyone else." hell, i've had pizza for breakfast before, get bent.
also, if you don't know who Kevin Hart is, it's time to start learning.

Left over pizza is great in the morning.
Also I've never seen peanut butter do that.

as the alt text suggests, it's probably something that only happens to me because i use so much peanut butter. but what am i supposed to do? not use half the jar on each sandwich? preposterous.

comic #2 is relatable

sadly

    DPS Mentality

it was inevitable: here is a monster hunter comic. before anyone points it out, yes, i play a female character, and not only that, but i use a full set of pink rathian armour. i'm a pretty princess and i cannot be contained. be yeah, in pretty much every aspect of my life i have a very DPS attitude, generally valuing quantity over quality (incidentally this comic falls in neither category) because i just like the feeling of getting a lot done in little bit of time. SMGs in shooters, melee weapons in S4L... i guess you could say it's just because i don't like actually aiming, but hey, forget you.

Oh man I love these lol. I'm gonna check daily for updates

Pretty much this.

thank you mucho, señores

    Extreme Napping

please pardon the somewhat sloppier than usual art this time around, i'm honestly still rather out of it. this has never really happened before, and i actually slept pretty well during the evening, so i still have no clue how i managed to kill the entire day sleeping. i'm rather disappointed in myself, to be totally honest, but oh well. i suppose i just need to be more careful in the future; perhaps i shouldn't nap in my own bed, since its seductive comfiness was probably a large contributing factor to my supernap.
also, with barely an hour to spare, my first double update. hooray! does that mean i get to skip a comic tomorrow...?

I have a railway spike in my closet.
