Author Topic: im loving stupid  (Read 2861 times)

So, let me get this straight, Your school just expects you to purchase a decent laptop for school, and then wants you to just toss it when the year is over?  :cookieMonster: Please re-read before you post next time.

But on topic, How much stuff would you be in if you were a few days behind on a computer? Not much I'd assume, and (most) Faculty in schools are pretty understanding, so you shouldn't have many problems...
no
we buy $500 worth of new stuff each year
one year it might a laptop the next it might be a mandatory "donation" to the tech department

no battery life is pretty important 2 hour battery with a 7 hour school day. do the math.
i'm not putting games on it so that doesn't matter

ya i know it doesn't need to run blockland.
my mom has one of those and she had to buy 3 extra batteries for it because the batteries only last 2 hours

this might be alright
the hard drive speed is a bit slow and I'm not too sure about the processor but I think its nice

lemme ask you a question OP:  why exactly is it "stuffty"?  is it because it doesn't run games well or something?  because you bought a $500 laptop, it's not supposed to run games it's just supposed to do basic stuff.

as for the battery low beeping, look in the BIOS settings, this sounds like some kind of built in feature.  lenovo laptops are pretty good idk why it sucks.

looking at multiple reviews the specs are greatly exaggerated
supposedly you cant turn the beeping off
some applications crash on it
etc etc

the specs for the $499 one on the page you linked are fine for almost anything aside from most high end gaming.  even so, it's a $500 laptop, you're not supposed to have great specs to begin with.  if the specs aren't the same as from the product page you ordered from then that's a serious problem and you need to confront lenovo about potential fraud.
like i said, try looking in the BIOS.  have someone capable of explaining that get to you on that because i'm a stuffty explainer.
uninstall the applications that crash.  my lenovo came with plenty of unnecessary programs and i just got rid of them and disabled the rest.
