I'm just gonna slap down a question here since PewDiePie involves fans/fanbase:

Which do you think is worse, Bros, or Bronys.

EDIT: I personally think Bros because of the XDDDD LOL THIS IS FUNY bullstuff they always say.
You probably shouldn't have brought that up

I think it's rather petty to worry about who has the most subscribers
I don't like Smosh any better than Pewdiepie

PewDiePie is simply meh, I watch Happy Wheels, and I did subscribe, but they aren't that funny, I use his videos as a timewaster.

Here's how it is. Don't judge a fanbase based on the actions of the noobish group. All fanbases have them, but pretty much all fanbases have plenty of mature members as well. Here's something we ALL need to keep in mind; the reason why it seems like bronies and bros are total idiots sometimes is because the idiots, who are loud and annoying, pretty much cover up the actions of the mature, which aren't likely to draw as much attention because they're much more mild mannered, they don't make people mad, and they probably talk a limited amount about said fanbase. A good example would be our own MLP thread here on the BLF; for the most part, everything is contained in the thread, because most of the regulars there are mature and know better.

Anyway, now that I've put that potentially enlightening bit out there, how about this discussion go no further before it turns ugly?

I don't have a problem with PewDiePie himself, I mean yeah his videos don't exactly appeal to me but that doesn't give me a reason to hate him personally.

It's just his fanbase that I dislike.

Ehh, he can appeal to the lowest common denominator. That's the way I see it. I rarely see any wit or extremely well constructed comedy in his vids.

I believe when you join YouTube, a whole loads of recommended channels to subscribe to (with tick-boxes) comes up. PewDiePie is ticked

i like pewdiepie's videos, they're funny

I don't know what smoosh is either, I just assume it's terriable too.
All the most subscribed channels are probably terriable.

I think he's probably a great dude IRL. He seems to make the demographic he caters to happy, even if I'm of the opinion that his humor is stupid.

Nothing I would bother about to go on a crusade against.

I'll admit that some (note: not all) of his commenter are slightly.. eh. That isn't his fault though to be fair.

Also yes it's actually pretty damn cool that he's doing that charity thing. Pity more people didn't use the sort of fame he has for a good cause like that.

I'd say he's just as good as the boring let's players who make corny jokes.

Just the exact same but louder.

I still see why he got subs though.

that's pretty much the most scientific way of going about it

You'd think he'd go so low as to start a scandal?
he might. he gets quite a bit of money off these wasteful videos. i wouldn't doubt it if the greed overcame him.

What's the big deal when he becomes the most subscribed youtuber?
Does it affect you in any way?
