Author Topic: The Blockland Forums Community Tips on How to Not Get Flamed  (Read 6790 times)

This is a stuffty assumption.
Yep

Rules to add: ID racism, but only to some extent. Feel free to expect noobishness out of the new guys, but when one of them breaks the expectations and bests you, don't cling stubbornly to a blanket statement

New rule: never refer to ID discrimination as "ID racism".

bisjac is ultimate god of forums

he shalt not be banned

These "rules" should be called tips on how not to get flamed instead. imo people who try to enforce newbies to follow some sort of "strict blockland rule book" are the ones who should be flamed.

Wow, and I thought I was the only one who thought that.

Ok, I'll add this as well. If it's worded weirdly, just tell me and I'll fix it.

Wow, didn't think about it that way. Changing the title.

So the BLF already has 11 rules set by Badspot: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=2856.0
Breaking these rules will result in your post or topic being edited or deleted, or may get the user banned for any amount of time, ranging from a few days to permanently.
ftfy, including fixing some grammar issues to make it sound better =3

Wow, you're new.
You seem to be really prevalent in the forums though. I see you a lot.

Wow thanks. I guess I was really tired last night. You just corrected a Harvard grad student's grammar.

this is a really cringeworthy thread jesus christ
honestly i think having users learn from there mistakes is the best way, not reading some "community tips" on how to be a good forumgoer

I don't see how at all this thread is cringeworthy. The only thing that anybody can possible claim it's cringeworthy is the comment Jairo made, but even that isn't that cringeworthy since many people on BLF do discriminate against BLID.

It'll be great if people didn't make mistake the first time right?

The only rule there should be is "use common sense".

Sure, but that's only when you assume that everybody is smart on the internet.
Like I mentioned before, the same argument can be used for Badspot's forum rules, but for some people, things just need to be clearly mentioned and worded out for them.
