Author Topic: tor websites compromised, host of some tor sites arrested  (Read 14614 times)

Don't you think that's the point? They do this to catch criminals. I can guarentee that if you haven't looked at anything that's illegal in every way possible you have absolutely nothing to worry about. And now that we know about it, people can reinstall tor. Now it's their own fault if they get tracked.
"We're tracking child enthusiasts" excuse is a coverup for "We're destroying anything that prevents us from monitoring you".

Do you not value your personal privacy?
Why should I? I have nothing to hide.

What all of you want the forums to believe you're saying:

"Oh my god my privacy! My privacy is being taken away by the corrupt US government and FBI!!"

What you are all actually saying:

"Waah wahh I can't watch kiddy research and buy drugs with my 0.00000001 bitcoins!!"

Why should I? I have nothing to hide.

This. I don't do illegal things with my computer. I play games, browse websites, and use skype with my friends. Unless browsing reddit, playing Skyrim, and using a microphone to communicate with others gets outlawed, then I have no reason to care. This does not affect me, and the FBI has every right to crack down on the stuff that is viewable on TOR. The only reason people are going to care is if they actually have something to hide, or they have no idea about the subject matter and just hop on the "my privacy is being taken away" bandwagon.

You don't deserve to have privacy if you're purposely ignoring the law. If you're not breaking the law in some serious way, they'll move on and stop tracking you.

Do you not value your personal privacy?
You only need privacy if you have something to hide

am i gonna have to give you another medal

I don't plan on ever tolerating a government policy that says they can spy on you without a court order.

Here is a nice comparison to the real world. The tracking cookie they installed in people's browsers is about the equivalent of them attaching a GPS unit to you without you knowing. As you go around doing your normal thing, they watch where you go. A browser tracker is the same in it's own sense, because it can track the web addresses you have visited and report them to anyone who can access the cookie (ie the creators of it).

yes please

can i also have a star sticker pleasee

Privacy is for law abiding citizens

Many people who use tor are not law abiding citizens

Once they see a law abiding citizen on the tracker, it ignores them and they have their privacy back.
