Author Topic: tor websites compromised, host of some tor sites arrested  (Read 14742 times)

people dont make viruses to destroy computers anymore. that was early 90s stuff when kids were learning how to script and were having fun.

nowadays there is money to be made by planting your stuff on peoples comps. adds to spam, info to sell.
its not about causing damage anymore.

Pretty much this.

Malware, short for malicious software, is software used or programmed by attackers to disrupt computer operation, gather sensitive information, or gain access to private computer systems. It can appear in the form of code, scripts, active content, and other software. 'Malware' is a general term used to refer to a variety of forms of hostile or intrusive software.

It's pretty broad, and can pretty easily fit to this situation.
Most of the time software refers to computer programs. I wouldn't count a cookie as a program, but I suppose it technically is.

are you kidding me?  there's a difference between murder and premeditated murder, in a premeditated murder, blaming other people to cover your own tracks is literally a variable in almost every single case ever recorded.  Because it's easy to get away with, it's hard for a person or anything for that matter to prove you 'didn't' do something versus proving they 'did' something.  Using the internet makes it so much easier.  If 10 year old kids can figure out how to DDoS a site they dislike, I'm fairly sure a sane 40-50 year old man devising a murder would have some sense in using the internet to their advantage.
i could easily commit a murder without even bringing the internet  into it lol
bold: you'd know about that wouldn't you? ;)

cookies are not software, they are data

"omg wah wah wah the fbi is taking down kiddy research sites and muh snuff films!!!11"
the fbis actions isnt "taking away muh freedoms" at all, they are getting rid of sites that are breaking laws by using tor, simple as that. this doesnt affect me or anyone else on this forum (maybe bisjac, because he is a grown up) but really we shouldnt be arguing about this whatsoever, i have never even used any of the services on the deep web and i bet no one in this thread has either.

NOTHING is private on the internet anymore, the governments can easily track you and arrest you for ANYTHING you do. there is nothing you can do in the internet that is protected by anonymity, so while you are choking the chicken to your hardcore rape films on the deep web, the fbi is just making a game plan to come and arrest you.

ITT v2; "i can't get on my deepnet anymore!1 fbi u forgeters quit moniterrorising us!1"

The fact that they can does not make it right. With the right legislation, it can be stopped. But first it requires people to realize it's happening, and then it requires people to take action against it.

exactly

Lol creepy stuff. Lucky me I don't do deep web stuff.

My favorite lovey onion site is still up, I'm happy.

it's not wrong either?
there is no reason to take action against anything

like I said, who cares if the government knows you looked up "bananas" yesterday and then knows you talked to your friends about how you just bought a chair

am i the only one who doesn't even know what tor is

you're also the only person who apparently doesn't know what google is
or read the first page, for that matter
