Author Topic: Created my own Blockland Let's Play series. 1st episode reuploaded - Bars gone  (Read 1501 times)

My problems with this video:

Horrible video quality.
Horrible mic quality, I keep on hearing weird... crackling noises. (just use Skype)
Only applies if this was supposed to be funny: Not funny.
And those insufferable huge black bars.

The video quality went up to 480p, the highest video quality I have ever gotten on Youtube, I don't see how it is so horrible, everything is clear.
The mic quality was ok, it sounded better when it wasn't uploaded. However, Cakey was talking over Steam and that could have to do with his mic, no offense Cake.
I'm sorry if you didn't find it funny, everyone has a different sense of humor I guess.

But, yeah the black bars are miserable, I will fix it next time.

This is my mic btw: http://www.nulime.com/official-konami-usb-logitech-microphone-black/p1354302

Reuploaded video to remove black bars, however quality was lost and it looks a little stretched. Hopefully next time, this won't happen.

To remove the black bars without stretching the picture, you have to resize the game's resolution to a 16:9 ratio. For 720p, you'd do 1280x720 or higher. Then, as long as you're not terrible at video editing/rendering, it should be in HD without letterboxing.

Other than that, it's not absolutely terrible. You need to get used to doing commentary if you're going to do that, though. After that, it could be pretty good.

ok, I'll go with 1280x720 next time. I used 640 by 480 at first, so it's stretched.
