Author Topic: Mouse taking multiple clicks to continue  (Read 1328 times)

I been noticing recently I been having trouble with my mouse, I am having to click either twice or up to 8 times to click on a link/page and playing games, and even trying to click in between words for typing .

It is a Logitech G100 Optical Gaming mouse and I had it for at least two months, got it at bestbuy. I looked around online, seen some solutions but none of them worked. So any solution to this problem you guys had before? or is it my USB port?

Have you installed drivers or updated drivers?

Yes I have, downloaded a update from Logitech site and it is still doing it.

Try plugging it into a different USB port.

Forgot to mention it is a wired mouse not a wireless one also I switched into 3 different usb ports in the back I will try one in the front

Edit: Yes same thing happened in the front

http://www.logitech.com/en-my/support/8397?osid=14&bit=64 this is what I downloaded from what I seen it just a add-on to check your mouse and not a real driver update

Are you sure it's your mouse and not your computer being slow?

This is my third year with this nice computer, also wouldnt everything be slowed down by the computer?

This started happening like a week ago too so I am thinking something I maybe installed, but I will keep looking

perhaps its a problem with the mouse itself? maybe a button is off center or something like that

You might want to try the mouse out on another computer to see if it's truly the mouse at fault, although I kinda doubt it isn't.

It could be that the switches or some other component are getting worn out. In order to fix it you'll either have to send it in (If it's got warranty) or open it up and either try fixing the switches with some bizarre method or replacing them (Which would both probably void your warranty if you had any).

I tried it on another computer and it is the mouse at fault, I will have to open it up to clean it myself because it does have 2 year warranty but I have no idea where the receipt is

Email logitech and tell them the dealio. Sometimes companies will let you ship yours in for an exchange.

Just clean the thing

If you don't clean anything your hand is in constant contact with, it's going to get filthy

This.
It probably has some dirt or something in it.
