There are also tasers that disable you for about 2-3 seconds

Christmas would be a good day to publicly announce what we've got thus far and give out some kind of "Hey, thanks for caring about the mod, have a gift of some kind!"
would also be a good time to maybe launch the general discussion topic
Edit, allow me to explain why it would be a good time:
A lot more forum activity goes on around christmas time. People are traveling or just can't get on, so they check the forums on their mobiles. Mod Discussion doesn't even show up on the top 10 most viewed topics list, whereas general discussion I think is #3-5. This means in the busiest time of the season, general discussion will light up. That would be the time to shine.
And as I've mentioned before, part of the purpose for the general discussion topic would be to keep an organized area of all updates, teams, progress, etc. And it would have a link to mod discussion, and thus this topic would be completely dedicated to the mod, whereas I can moderate the building portion of it.

Honestly I think it would be a great idea. Can you imagine the gossip that would spread from said people that were lucky enough to get on? And if there's one thing I learned in culinary, word of mouth is the best advertisement. I wished they cut up cows and deer and pigs in class but no, some kids don't like blood. Pussies >.>

I already told you this multiple times, but just TEMPORARILY code it to change the color of the brick for the different plant growth stages.  And when we get some crop models, we can easily switch out setColor() to setDatablock().

I dunno about the progression of coding, but day by day the city build has slowly progressed. Right now the bank for the city is nearing completion, and a layout for a city PD is being made. We've also got some smaller buildings finished, and a lot of the roads that will be duped around are done as well.

When the time comes, it'll all be /dupsave and it'll be a streamlined process of loading up the right dupes for the right job.
So to speak
once we finish making all the props and buildings
it'll take, at most, one day to assemble the whole city.
