well it depends on how naive the girl is. most girls are to loving stupid to tell what a friend is, and when a guy is wanting to forget her.

in most cases, girls are way way to naive, and they string guys along thinking they are friends, the guys always make moves and the girl never realizes it till he basically has to come out and say it.
