That happened to me when I had my old mac keyboard unplug all usb''s and see if thats the problem?

the old laptop my mom uses sometimes does a lot of loud beeping and goes to a screen that asks what we want to boot from (though it doesn't let us give any input)
maybe it's a motherboard problem?

i'm not sure, i'm searching stuff about it and it looks like beeping noises serve as a code from the bios
do you have any idea what BIOS you have?

Take out your RAM stuff and clean it, reinsert it and it should work. If not, you have to get new RAM

it sounds like it's a rapidly repeating beeping noise and from what i'm looking at it could mean a lot of different things (most BIOS use different beep codes though so uh)
namely it's stuff like
damaged/overheating CPU
memory error ("memory is either damaged or badly seated")
power supply or motherboard error

but yeah make sure everything is clean and seated properly (take a can of compressed air and carefully use that to dust out the inside etc)

It's not a rapid beep. And I've already tried to clean it out. Still nothing.

When I last had this issue it turned out I didnt insert a ram cartridge (cartridge? stick?) all the way. Are you sure one isnt loose or damaged?
