good point, but there's also other kits that don't use express cards. they have some other forgeted up way to use it.

The 7750 is the best card you can get that draws all its power from the x16 pcie slot, it's around $75

you can't stick an external GPU into a laptop, it doesn't work like that.  unless you do bisjac's silly tutorial but that will run you over $100 and it's not worth the money you'd need to pay unless you have most of those parts lying around.
