Author Topic: How does one change their BLF avatar? (Read 2360 times)

So I have tried for the past week to change my avatar, either i'm a loving idiot or the forum is broken,
I'm pressing the browse button and selecting a .png file, it uploads and I click change profile and nothing happens, I mean if I changed any of the letter kinda stuff information it would get saved, but the avatar doesnt
What do?

ctrl+F5 or if that doesn't work shift+F5

or what he said
they all do the same thing so any of them will work (well like, only one of my two will work, but one of them will, and no matter what browser you use his will work)

I wanted to know the same, I just tried and cleared my cache and even pressed "CTRL+F5" and it still won't let me upload my forum profile avatar.

Still won't let me, I tried clearing cache from the whole time, still nothing, nor a jpeg

try uploading a 75x75 image

After "changing", wait on the same page and don't touch anything for at least one minute then refresh the page.

so that isn't the issue
well, recently, people have apparently been having problems uploading avatars that are too big
in the past it would resize them automatically but idk I guess it stopped
I haven't noticed because I resize them first anyway, since the way the forum does it turns it into a jpg first and it ends up being too noisy
but anyway, I guess, just use another program to resize the image to 75x75 or lower before uploading it

I've been resizing mine to 75x75, didn't work. I then tried 65x65 - and it still did not work.

My guess is that after Badspot downgraded the forums, more information started being cached onto the user.
