Well, I have a ps3 and i think I'm damn lucky to even HAVE it. I think I'm damn lucky I even get what ask for in the first place. I'll be honest, mostly anything I ask for I usually get because my mother is OBSCENELY nice. But instead of thinking I deserve everything, I count my self DAMN lucky.

Damn guys, you are all so pompous. Are you all trying to say that there's never been a time where your parents declined to do something you really wanted and you were upset about it? Kids are naturally ungrateful for what their parents do for them because it's unconditionally given, you only gain that gratefulness once you can reflect and see how much they really did for you. In 10 years when this kid looks back and realizes that he really doesn't care that his dad didn't get him a PS3 because it has no games anyway, then he will understand why all of you are calling him ungrateful. Am I the only one who finds it funny how probably most of the people bashing this guy already have a console or a gaming PC? Probably even some of them (not all all them so please don't bother saying stuff like 'oh I worked for MY console' or 'actually NO I have nothing') were bought by parents.

Honestly in this day and age it's not that unreasonable to ask for at least one games console now a days. Not a necessity but it is slightly harsh (unless the parents literally don't have the money - but if they didn't I doubt they'd be spending that much on school equipment).

On the other hand I wouldn't say you're dad's a bad person for buying you good school stuff - he's just trying to buy what's best for you.
