Intuos is more aimed at professional businesses.

They're still the very best for the job. It's not like software where instead of buying an expensive 600€ adobe program you can just "download Gimp for free which has the same features". If you want quality you have to aim high.

But for someone's first tablet they're usually not going to shove out $1k for something.
Heck if you're going to go for best quality just get a 24HD Cintiq for 2k

My friend has a Bamboo Splash which I used a few times to play around with, and it's a fully functional drawing tablet. It's easy to use, efficient, fun to use, and it does the job.

Other than that they're the same specs and everything.
