How do you get the hook?

I've been playing the game for like 2 months but I still don't know how to get the hook. Could anybody tell me how to get it? Thanks in advance!

EDIT: Does the hook spawn randomly? Or where specifically does the hook spawn in the woods?

Go to the woods
Wonder around until you find an tree with an entrance
Go in, this is Level 1
Navigate through it, at the end is the hook

Dangit I still can't find it in those tunnels. I'll keep looking though
