Why does a majority of people on the Internet pretend to be insane?

I see people saying things like "I'm insane! I'll snap at any moment!" Or "I remind my self of Jeff the killer." "Ogm I love. Jeff I would date him because I'm INSANE!" And "HAHAHAHAHAH IM CRAZY! IM EVIL!"

Ya' know like someone will say something out of nowhere in order to grab attention, or seem funny. Possibly to pick up chicks?
Example:
Guy 1: "I love Pickles!!"

yeah but, if they do have horrible lives, and are at least 15. I'd expect them to be annoyed about these phonies who just want to be cool, or popular.

I'd expect this to cause a flame war. But what you said isn't necessarily true there are homeless people, orphans and rape victims in the U.S.

Man I get what you're saying and all. Comparing life here to life in say Liberia is pretty much night and day yeah. But people in America are still commuting Self Delete. It shouldn't be "Oh this person is obviously suffering more." While the problems in Liberia do require more immediate attention we probably shouldn't use it to dismiss other problems. You guys make good points though.
