My dad works in a supermarket.
But he's had quite a varied work history.
He's been a Butchers Apprentice, worked in numerous supermarkets, a supermarket depot as a forklift driver, worked in department stores as retail assistants, and clothing shops, he had a brief job working in a steel forge, and worked as a department manager in a large pharmaceutical company's factory, and also owned and worked in a Newsagents with my mum.

My mum has had a number of jobs too, including part-time jobs looking after Whippets at hound races, working in retail in clothing shops (she met my Dad while they both worked in the same shop).
She was also in charge of a lot of secretarial and office work in our former local Community Centre, where she also ran Play Scheme groups for children, and she and my dad owned a number of Bouncy Castles and rented these out, as well as hosting a Bouncy Castle Club for local children.
She then ran the Newsagents with my Dad when we moved to South West England from Oxford, where they worked together for a number of years.
However, due to struggling economic climate and a local supermarket moving in, that business went under.

My mum hasn't worked since, but she is currently looking for work at the moment, with help from a charity that helps support disabled people getting back into work, as in the last 3 years, my Mother has developed Rheumatoid Arthritis.

I don't know an awful lot about my grandparents, on eitherside, for where they worked.

My Grandad on my Mum's side worked in the Royal Air Force for a number of years, working on a military station in West Germany, where he worked on packing and unpacking planes. It was in West Germany that my Mum was born.
After returning to England though, he had a number of jobs, not a lot of them I know however.
I know he worked for some considerable time for a crane company, and was even in the newspaper once when he used his crane to rescue a Parrot from a tall tree which had escaped from a nearby house.
And he later on worked part-time as a porter for one of the campuses of Oxford University.
Christ Church College, I believe.

My Nan, on my Mums side, I don't know much about either. Mainly because she died when I was quite young.
She was sick for a large portion of her life, suffering with Crohn's Disease.
She did however run a Nursery from our home in her later years in life.

My Grandparents on my Fathers side I know very little as well, mainly because they're very distant to my immediate family, for unknown reasons.

My Dads Father had studied Chemistry at University, although I'm unsure what he did with this afterwards.
All I know is that in his years towards retirement he went part-time as a driving instructors for a driving school.

My Dad's Mum has likely had a number of jobs, but I'm not familiar with them.
All I do know is that she was a secretary for nurses in the hospital in Oxford.

I personally am looking to study Classical Civilisations at University.

In the long run, I would like to work in a museum of history, hopefully as a curator or similar position.
It would also be great to be a field archaeologist, studying/researching for a museum or university.
Writing books would also be interesting.
And finally, although a long shot, I would absolutely love to do Classical Civilisation based TV Documentaries.

English UK.
We don't like to use the Z when an S will work.

And true, I say Citizen. And I say Citizenship, not Citisenship.
But Civilisation doesn't come from the word Citizen.
It comes from Civil and Civilised. I don't say "Civilized".
