Author Topic: Nintendo Announces the 2DS  (Read 7733 times)

I don't understand. They could've just re-made the 3DS but without the loving stupid 3D gimmick and the other useless features.

I thought this would be useful to me if i wanted a DS because i cant see in 3D and I would want to be able to play newer games and be up-to-date, but the whole thing looks ugly. I know the whole point of it is to be flat, but it's just not as portable and easier to damage the screen. A shame, really

also inb4 2ds xl

it's for younger/'special' kids whose parents are hesitant about the whole 3d thing and want a cheaper, more durable, alternative. the solid structure makes it more resistant to handicap rage. it's also being released on the same day as the new pokemon game (guaranteed to bring in sales). i don't see what the big deal is and why everyone's going "why wahh nintendo why did you do this". think before you post.

Oh hey its the virtual boy 2.0

I thought this exactly when I seen the hinge being non-existent. You can't snap it in half as easily. It's child-proofed.

I still prefer the Gameboy Advance over any DS.

I'm not a fan of the design, and I think I would rather just save a little bit more and get a 3DS, but I don't see a problem with it.

Obviously there is a market and a demand for it out there, so I hope it makes Nintendo some money.

And I hope it is really popular and lots of people get one.
Maybe then when I carry my 3DS around I'll actually meet some people on Streetpass and finish some of my loving Mii Plaza: Puzzle Swap panels.

i know that feel.

wow
really nintendo

i didn't mind the 3ds or wii u. i have both and think they're pretty good.
but what the crap?

lol why not call it the DSboy?

i know that feel.
Nearly 2 years I've had mine now, and despite carrying it around a lot, I've only completed 2 panels.
Legend of Zelda (mostly from random Playcoin panels) and Kirby, which was the other week.

Rural England sucks. No one has cool things like these.

I got a crap load of hits when I visited the city of Bath.
If I had been brave enough to take it, I might have gotten a number while in Rome.

I can only imagine what it's like in Tokyo. You must get hits everywhere.

I don't know man, I kinda like it. It's a lot better for families with young kids, my lil' sis has got a 3DS and sure as hell doesn't need it at all. I wish they removed all the menu stuff and just made the games boot instantly, also, making it even smaller wouldn't hurt.

I like that it is less money. I like that it is flat so the 3d isn't a bitch. I like that the depth slider doesn't jut out so you can no longer change it accidentally. I like how cute it looks.

But I'm not buying this.

stuff is not 3d why forget this

The shape seems horrible to use to me, but what do i know, i haven't actually tried it of course.
Anyhow, sad to hear the speakers can only play mono sound now. :C
Also seems like a horrible thing to carry around easily.

Thank goodness i have the 3ds instead of that.
I'll take the price i payed for it. :)

Doesn't look too bad, honestly. More Wii-U themed, and maybe retro style consoles are making a comeback.

i'm glad to hear you're taking many hits in the bath from the bong

seems kinda weird to me, but it'll probably be more popular amongst paranoid parents. i'd rather get the normal 3DS though
