I don't know if it's just me but I always use my locker, it's in a convenient place on campus and I couldn't fit all of my textbooks and stuff in my backpack, they're huge. Not sure if it's because I go to a private college-prep high school but to me it seems like a ton of you guys don't use your lockers.

sports r dum

My school might of been different than some but literally every movie about highschool is 100% wrong. My school didn't have cliques like in movies. Sure some people only hung out with certain type of people but they didn't go around and just stuff people. There were no real bullies, like even the super nerdy kids didn't get bothered by people for nothing. The only time people would make fun of people was when they didn't something stupid or acted like friends.I wasn't really cool at all and still I made friends with all kinds of people. As long as you don't act like a total friend and don't talk to people because you're an "introvert" you'll be fine.

Doing good is fine but the most important part of going on to college is your SAT scores. I mean they don't only look at SAT's but as long as you do decent and highschool and not awful on your SAT's you're fine. People saying clubs and stuff are important for getting into a school are full of stuff. They do help you with college but really only with scholarships, which is still pretty important.

Most importantly try to have fun and make friends. Also don't be a little bitch that sucks up to teachers. I'm not saying be a douche to teachers but if you see a kid cheating don't run and tell the teacher. Hope you have a good 4 years!

Most of these suggestions are dumb.

Friend-wise, just talk to people and you can make friends with anyone assuming your personality isnt stuff. You dont have to selectively choose your friends, you dont have to walk a certain way in the hallway, you dont have to "try not to look like a freshman", basically ignore everything this dumbass put in his post:

Don't act like your tough stuff. Don't carry your books, Carry them in a bag or you'll be singled out. Make friends with seniors, don't dress like friend, get your hair cut short if it's long. That style dies out once you get to highschool, don't be the first to class, don't bring your lunch, don't sit alone in lunch, always walk with people, don't go to homeroom and sit alone in the morning, participate in PE, don't sit in the front of the bus and finally, don't participate in class a ton.

I mean really, "Dont participate in class a ton", "dont be the first to class", "dont bring your lunch", "always walk with people", "Dont go to homeroom and sit alone", "dont sit in the front of the bus", and my favorite one "Dont carry your books, carry them in a bag or youll be singled out". I mean really is this post serious? Gee I remember ALL the times I saw a kid carrying his books and thought "lol what a cigarette" and Ill never forget the kid who comitted Self Delete because he just couldnt handle all the bullying he received for bringing his own lunch to school. I question Apex's real age, because his post reads like a middle schoolers perception of what high school will be like based off television shows.

Now THIS, on the other hand, is a good reply.

Exactly this, most advice people give sounds like the only experience they have with highschool is watching  an abc family movie. Literally everything he said besides "Don't act like your tough stuff" is loving awful. Also try and talk to as many people as possible and make friends with as many people as possible. Just make small talk and make some jokes. If you're not a loser and don't act like an idiot all the time you shouldn't have any problems except for with people that are just douches.

All this stuff about "upperclasman" vs "underclassman" is bullstuff. I think once at my highschool some kids try to haze freshman and the ended up looking like complete douches. Freshman friday consisted of mostly people joking that they're gonna haze freshman and that's about it.

Now THIS, on the other hand, is a good reply.

Thanks babe <3 <3 <3 8^*

I agree with a lot of this, and it's pretty good advice overall. I just think that you should always be respectful to a teacher though, and kind. I'm not saying to kiss her butt, but treat the teacher (he or she) well.
