i use console gaming because i cant afford a $600 pc and because of the few games that dont come out on pc.

Actually, it seems there was a bit of maintenance downtime this morning from 9AM to 10AM PDT, so what Sony told you isn't complete bullstuff. They may be still doing some silent tweaks to things, so I'd try inputting the code again first thing tomorrow. If it still doesn't work, get on Gamestop's ass about it like others have said.

Actually, the code should not work because I could go on PSN and go on the store but not just redeem a code.

We bought a second controller for $50.
That makes it $300.
Then I bought three cheap games with my own money. $60.
Then I used the TV i bought four years ago.
And all the games I have...

I only have 2 games.
