Author Topic: i cant move  (Read 1747 times)

all it does is look up and spin my mouse is fine though whats the problem D:

were you playing the tutorial gamemode

also does you bind your movement keys

No, this is happening to me as well.
It happens in any server or map that's offline.

Our characters are perpetually spinning whilst facing the sky. Spamming mouse movements in third person shows that I have actually spawned and can move around, just my camera view is constantly spinning, preventing gameplay.

Any tips?

Here are my console and launcher logs.

hi AIRX,
can you tell us what mouse you are using and your operating system?

Bogstandard Dell mouse that came with my system (Dell XPS 8500 running Windows 8) because I'm a cheapass.

try doing Ctrl+Alt+Delete go to task manager and tell me if you see a program called "synergy"

I apologize for not explaining better, go to task manager and then click the "Processes" tab and then click "Image Name" to sort the list alphabetically and tell me if synergy.exe is in the list

Didn't really elaborate very well myself in my answer either so don't worry. I didn't see synergy.exe with Blockland open or with it closed.

What happens when you put

turnleft(1); (or turnright(1);)

in your console? (~)

I'm thinking the problem here is some sort of mouse/out dated drivers problem

I had a mouse that did the same exact thing

one more thing for you to check is if you have any joysticks or steering wheels connected to your computer disconnect them and see if it still does it.

So I should try updating drivers?
Getting a new mouse will be a bit of a hassle.

Launch the tutorial and then unplug your mouse and see what happens. Try using the W,S,A and D keys without a mouse plugged in. Also update your mouse drivers and possibly your OS and then report the results on the forums.

Possible results:
  • Mouse unplugged and spinning still happens: Blockland or Computer problem.
  • Mouse unplugged and spinning DOESN'T happen: Mouse problem
  • Mouse updated and spinning still happens: Mouse problem
  • Mouse updated and spinning DOESN'T happen: Fix'd!

Hope this helps!
