Author Topic: How do I get rid of snap.do?  (Read 667 times)

It's a redirect virus that takes me to some wierd search engine every time I start up chrome. I looked in my extensions and it didn't show up there. I also looked im my "uninstall a program" list. Anyone here know where the folder is that snap.do installs itself into?

Get malwarebytes and run a scan
if that doesnt work ask their forum.

10 seconds of googling :/
you could always run a virus scan
You did not read the OP or the blog you gave me. Thanks.

I'll try that.

are you able to see your "newtab" page or is it your homepage

how did it get installed? it might be bundled

I have your same exact problem. I am not sure what caused it but a nortons virus scan doesnt help.

I had the exact same problem, but I fixed it by uninstalling snap.do and then setting a new homepage.
