Author Topic: What is your idea of a perfect server?  (Read 7589 times)

i would say the major one would be a really well thought out open-world city rpg. Basically, it wouldn't be stuff-tier, it'd be realistic and actually fun to play.

A not bad, high quality City RPG

A server with no admin abuse and no spammy stuff and a server with a SPAS 12

A 'perfect server' can never truly exist. But a good idea of one would be a server that has a good build, not some spammy jumbled up mess. It should also have very good administration, people who are reasonable and aren't complete richards. The server should have a original idea and if not that a idea that's been done before, except a lot better with new improvement to get fresh new gameplay. So basically a server that's not a complete and utter stuff storm.

Though the problem with most servers now a days are the players.

to remake timesplitters in blockland

A perfect server would be a good, realistic roleplay. I have tried many times to host a good roleplay, and in some aspect I've succeeded. However, the more I try, the more I learn it's impossible. Blockland just doesn't have good enough players. No matter how you do it, roleplays are going to require the players to be realistic. On blockland, however, that just never happens. If you ban people who can't be realistic, you're a badmin. If you don't, your server sucks because it's just a TDM.

Off topic:
Please, personal message me if you can think of a way to make the server attract more realistic RPers rather than idiotic noobs. My server is an Airport RP, but it isn't at all like any other airport RPs I've seen. (Except for The Socialist's, which stole my whole ATC system and took a build off forums.) I actually have Air Traffic Control, which is more than just "derp ima take off now." I tried calling it "Elite Airports RP" or "Airport Simulation," but none of them seem to work.

-Not an rp
-Good admins
-Good build
That's pretty much all I care about on a server.

Ah, you have seen thing that every host will at one point face.

But yeah, BACK IN MY DAY... People would take space ship builds and put the creeper mod (Remember that?) inside it, usually starting in the  Med bay or storage. And everyone would eventually die and it was awesome. I may do it on my airplane build and rotate it with stuff, because its just awesome!

They could be boxy rooms and stuff too, It doesnt really matter. It was just fun to do the Creeper game.

  • One which is not just a DM or a TDM, but is a mix of gamemodes. For example, a zombie defense game where you can team up with other survivors, buy weapons, and upgrade your playertype.
  • It needs to have balanced weapons.
  • One which has a good build. By 'good', I mean a build which would, on average, get a 7/10 or higher rating in the gallery section of the forums.
  • A Blockand server which is dedicated, and hosted on a reliable and fast hosting service.
  • It must have enough admins so that there are not long periods of time when none of them are on, and the administrators need to not be abusive. Also, a votekick script is very helpful.

A unique, non-RP challenge or an interesting mix of gamemodes (like Race for the Wool in MC) with good admins, players, and z good build.

- surprising (but not necessarily unique) concept and overall theme
- admins who are present but not overbearing or overly sensitive
- a host who is open to advice on improvement
- a pretty-ass build
- equipment and items that at the very least don't look like stuff

- punching weapons being involved in some shape or form

mlp furry love rp with guns
I used to host one of those. I could probably host it again.

either a. a new concept that hasn't been done before that doesn't suck
or b. bushido's servers. any of them.

That sounds really awesome, PM/steam me when/if you get it up bro.
