The computer virus scan is about 90% done.
The file compression and back-up is 50% done.
I think all the lag will mostly be over in 1 hour.

I don't know because my remote desktop is cut off.
I have asked the hosting provider to restart the VPS again.
Once the restart is complete, I will look at performance logs to determine the issue.

I asked Hosting above to restart the VPS, but they have been unresponsive.
Also, I'm considering completely wiping the hard disk in 1-2 days and doing a fresh install.
