Author Topic: Raging Wildfires Across Yosemite National Park and all over California  (Read 1792 times)

It's been said that the fires in the national park are as big as the American Texas city of Dallas. Many homes have been lost, and many people have evacuated because of the extreme conditions occurring. 6% of Yosemite National Park is currently under flames. Firefighters have found it impossible to relieve the fires, one factor is because the winds keep blowing which causes it all to spread further. 220,000 acres are currently burning. Due to the severity of these widespread fires; military is being drafted in to use drones to tackle the fires.

I live north of the fire. Its raining ash in my home town, and its been smokey for almost 2 weeks. They are telling us not to go outside, and I haven't seen blue skies in a few days.

Wow I hope you're ok during this time. Hopefully it doesn't spread even more. Have you or your parents thought of evacuating? It sounds like a nightmare to see just ash.

No we aren't close enough to the fire for it to get near us, not to mention that it probably won't spread this far north.
