Author Topic: Middle school started today  (Read 1223 times)

So middle school started today, 10:30AM we all came to the school's gym and I didn't know anybody and I was really shy  I was sweating alot, but when the speech ended we came to our classes and our teacher gave us the schedule.
I don't know anybody, I hate this school, it's really hard to go anywhere, nobody was talking to me and everybody was looking at me like if I was a loving handicap
Can somebody give me any advice how to get a better feel on this?

don't be a richard and people will naturally like you

I know the feeling. It's best to get to know everyone, and try to be respectful toward them. On my first day of middle school 3 or 4 years ago, I didn't know who to talk to and nobody talked to anyone on the first day. It's awkward and uncomfortable. I'm shy too.

Basically what Caribou said. Everyone looks and stares, I know the feeling haha. Just don't be rude to them and you'll end up being fine. Try to make some friends, that'll help as well.

every first day of school is like that. everybody is nervous. listen, i didn't like middle school much at all. it was because i was in a shell for a long time before that, extremely shy, so middle school got me out of that, but it was hard for me.

i wasn't bullied or anything. in fact, quite the opposite. it seems i attract people, i guess this is just what kids like to do when they see somebody different from them (i'm tall, so usually that's the first thing people tell me lol)

i'm in high school now, i am very sociable. unless you're an idiot who bothers everybody, (not like asking questions for help, just really an idiot) nobody should judge you/nothing should happen to you.

The only way middle school is going to suck is if you're act like a loser and don't even try to make any friends. Talk to people and try to make friends, after a week or so you'll be comfortable.

Be social. Don't be that awkward kid that sits in the back and doesn't talk to anyone. Try to sit near the middle of the class so you can have people to talk to.

so wait, is the beginning of middle school sixth grade? some school districts are different.

How you act in the first weeks of a new school are crucial in deciding what group you're going to end up in. Everyone is nervous, not just you, those people who stared at you were probably just staring at somebody else, got caught and looked away quickly.

So what should you do? Well, you should talk to someone and hope they introduce you to their friends!

between elementary and high

Wait what? Isn't it labor day?

Never act seriously, joke about things so you aren't marked as a friend, and learn their ebonics and attempt to communicate if you have to.

Not true. I joined a middle school which is connected to a primary school and a kindergarten. Everyone knows eachother, but me.

Some districts (Like my own) Have 6th graders at the elementary school and 9th graders at the Middle school due to lack of space.
