though i would agree it isn't a valid stereotype because there are plenty of rich kids who aren't like that at all.

A lot of you are stereotyping people with wealth. I've known numerous kids especially at my school whose parents have a lot of money. A lot of the kids aren't snobby, or even stuck up. The ones who brag about their wealth are absolute liars about their parents incomes many times. There are some rich kids at my school who brag about it though, and some who don't even know that they're rich. They don't even think about it. A poor kid or a middle class kid can be just as spoiled as a rich kid.

I half agree with OP. I know many wealthy kids that are good people, but for some the money goes to their heads. I've seen a complete transformation in people just from moving from a small house to a big house, low wealth to a lot of wealth.
