As far as actual builds go? Yeah, they're generally pretty simple.

Then you obviously haven't seen an actually decent house then. It all depends on the talent of the builder, some of the most complicated and successful builds I've seen have been houses, or mansions.

On the topic of the build at hand, I think it's obvious Brickitect can build well, but I really despise the architectural style of the houses being built, but that's just a matter of taste.

The working process when building a house is far more advanced than many other objects you can achieve in blockland. The general house is indeed very simple seeing the generally showcased build is in fact simple. Simple as that. You only judge from what you've seen Taboo. Not much, it seems.
