Author Topic: Audio coming out of left speaker and headset?  (Read 2375 times)

when i came home and put my headphones on, sound was coming out of my left ear and only my left ear. So, I thought it was my headset so i put it on my brothers laptop and both sides work fine. I have disconnected the headset and played a movie and several youtube videos and i can only feel vibration off the left speaker. What is going on and how do i fix it?

If that doesn't solve anything, then maybe your sound card is having problems?

Are you watching videos on youtube? Sometimes the video haves audio problems and you can only hear it through L or R ear.

oh when I do the whole balance thing again and I turn up the L setting it turns up the right too. When its at 100% though its still very quiet

Well, that sounds like a sound card issue, did something happen recently that may have caused damage to some of the hardware?

Not a single thing comes to mind. Was working fine last night and that was the last time i touched it until when i came home and noticed it was broken

Try turning the headphone jack around in the port. Sometimes the port gets damaged.

done that, still no

done that, still no
If its not a onboard soundcard than try to reseat the card.

LOL a simple restart fixed it. I got worried because I thought it was hardware. Maybe it was, who knows
