Author Topic: Is it ever gonna be possible to use brick textures client sided again?  (Read 6228 times)

The clients see the textures the server has. Not what the client has.

Yeah then it was changed in a recent update to be server-sided, I know you could do it before because I did it after replacing the normal brick stud textures with some other ones.

This is true, -snip- and then you can have the textures replaced by the ones you put it. I did it before, it's client-sided, it doesn't have to be an add-on. I think you can still do it.
This breaks the game and Badspot has banned users for posting how to do it before, remove this.
Even so, you are still dumb and don't know what you are talking about. This changes your textures on your own server. Nobody else's. It makes them see your textures.
It is server sided, not client sided, but of course someone of your IQ level couldn't be expected to realize that.

Just a debate but yeah it's not possible to have your custom brick texture on another server.

1. Download new brick textures.
2. Set all new brick texture files to read-only
3. Launch blockland
4. Go to options>network and set "download textures" to off
5. ???
6. Profit

if you are too scared to get in an arguement then just quit posting, don't go

"FINE IM LEAVING I DONT WANT TO ARGUE :**((("
You're doing it again.

Also, I'm not scared to do it, I wouldn't mind doing it, I just don't want to waste the rest of my day checking the topic every few seconds just to say something back.

But NOW I'm done arguing here.

Anyway, I support client-sided textures.

You're doing it again.
hey
guess what
I'm taller than you. That means I'm better than you.
That means I get to do it.

Let me clear things up:

Yes, there was once a time when you could change the textures of your bricks client-sided, I remember replacing the stud texture to a more conventional round stud.

Now it would appear that that is no longer the case; it is server-sided. Maybe you people didn't have Blockland before the textures were server sided, or maybe it was simply unknown to you at the time.

So yes, it used to be possible, but now it is not.

I hope I managed to stop all the butthurt and whatnot going on. But hey, who knows what you all will think.

This does NOT break the game, how do you even get that handicapped idea?

You were never able to use client-sided brick textures (or well, you never should).
You were always and are still able to use server-sided brick textures.

What the hell is the problem here?
